My second favorite time in Vietnam happened in Phong Nha, the tiny town with delicious noodles and mountain breezes that inspired me to wear every article of clothing in my backpack. I rented a bicycle for $2.00, and within 2 minutes of biking, I had blown past the main drag and was biking west, with only water buffalo in the distance. After 15 minutes of wind blown hair and blue vistas, I heard singing. One man with a microphone and 20 people, heads down, listening. It was ancient and fresh and beautiful all at once. Sharing that magical spot in the universe, I did the only thing that made sense. Danced along.
I had to add this. A girl's best photoshoot friend is a perfectly shaped branch and trusty camera straps.
