ROUND TWO

I first started this blog when I left home and ditched my job and everything I knew to explore Asia.  I wanted to see if I was actually as tough as I thought I was. I packed my bags and flew by myself to South Korea. I was 20 years old and thought I was independent as hell. I thought that I was capable of anything, but in reality, it was more stubbornness (thanks mom and dad) in believing that I could work through anything. It wasn't until I lived by myself in a city where I knew no one and couldn't speak the language that I actually learned how to work through hard things. It was the first time that I was truly confident in myself and knew I could handle anything if I tried. 7 years later and I'm in Asia again, except this time my first stop is a 3 week solo trip in Vietnam. If there's anything I've learned so far, it's that I'm still just as stubborn as I was the first time, and I really like Vietnamese Mentos. Mom, Dad and everyone else: get ready for some really great awkward/rockasatripod/selftimer/goober photos of me running around. :)
